Statistics showing a decline in numbers of abortions are DECEPTIVE.

There is no cause for celebration in pro life ranks.  While REPORTED surgical abortions show some decline, its certainly NOT the complete picture.  Abortion statistic simply don’t tell the whole story.

CHEMICAL abortions are not included in any statistics I have seen.  The widespread availability of chemical abortion should be huge cause for alarm.  While some pro lifers are celebrating, more children are actually being killed.  RU486 is available on the internet, complete with overnight shipping.  There are also reports of abortion pills being sold at Flea Markets for as little as $ 10.00.  If that isn’t easy enough, you can buy “the morning after” pill on your college campus from a vending machine for $ 25.00.  Teen agers are a prime market for chemical abortions.  The internet site, TeenHelp.com offers a convenient link to Planned Parenthood.

Age requirements have literally been removed.  Any girl at any age can get an abortion.  No questions.

Decades ago I was part of a group attempting to keep Planned Parenthood out of South Dakota.  We were successful for a time, but eventually Planned Parenthood established abortion facilities in South Dakota.  I knew even back then that the battle for life had taken a new turn.  The abortion pill changed everything.
