Until now, I have not made any “official” endorsement in the race for President.
With only a month before the first caucus, it seemed like it would be a good time to share a few reasons why I am supporting Senator Ted Cruz for President.
First, his faith. Cruz is an outspoken, committed Christian. He does not leave his convictions at the door when he goes to work. Charisma published an interesting article titled 5 Faith Facts About Ted Cruz.
Cruz is a leader. He is not afraid to stand alone (even against the leaders of his own party) when he needs to. His convictions are real, and he doesn’t “compromise” them away for political gain.
Cruz is a genuine Conservative… a fiscal AND social conservative. The Liberty Score Card gives him a score of 98% on Conservative issues.
He doesn’t just PROMISE to defend our freedom and support the Constitution, he has a record of doing so.
There are certainly others who would be a significant improvement over our current President. I just happen to believe that Cruz is far and away the best. Do your own research and see if you reach the same conclusion.
I doubt if my “endorsement” will seal the deal for Cruz. My hope is that if you are undecided, or supporting another candidate, that you will take time to consider Senator Ted Cruz. Our hope doesn’t lie at the feet of any one man, but it is important that our next President represents the principles and morals that made our nation great. Our next President should be someone who has long held the convictions of these attributes, not someone who has just “claimed” them during this election cycle.
Our only real hope is in God, but wouldn’t it be nice to have someone in the Oval Office who actually LISTENS to Him?
