What has happened to Country Music??

The giants are dying, and being replaced by some kind of pop-rock performed by people who just don’t represent the best of what is really Country Music.

Merle Haggard was a true Country Music performer, one of the all time greats.  He died today at age 79.  This song wasn’t his most popular, but it is one of my favorites.

Yes, there are a few Country Music artists still around.  I just wish there were a few more.

Merle Haggard leaves an empty space in Country Music.
