Killing Omar

Another terrorist is dead.

Unfortunately, so are more than 50 other people.

Was anyone in the Florida nightclub carrying a weapon?  I haven’t heard of one.  It took a swat team to take out this deranged killer.  Then, it was “after the fact” so to speak.

You have probably heard it said, “When every second counts, the police are only minutes away.”  That isn’t an indictment on police response.  They can’t be everywhere.  It does point out the need for self defense in the face of an attack.

Should you Run, hide or shoot?  If you are not carrying a weapon, you don’t have three options.  You only have two options.  Really, wouldn’t it be smart to have the option of self defense?

I was reminded again, by this act of terror, that using our 2nd amendment right to possess and carry a weapon is the right thing to do.  We live in a crazy world.  There are people who want to kill us.  Radical Islamic Terrorists are plotting and scheming ways to murder innocent people.  Additionally, there are thugs, rapists and psychopaths capable of attacking us anywhere we go.

It would be wise to make smart choices about WHERE we go and WHO is likely to be there.  Some places are statistically more dangerous than others.  Regardless of where you go, you are not as safe as you used to be.  It doesn’t always happen to the “other guy”.  Each one of us should be prepared to defend our self and others.  It is a good choice to carry a weapon, and know how to responsibly use it.

You never know when you will need to kill Omar.

Of note, in Florida, it’s actually illegal to carry a permitted concealed weapon in any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises. See: https://www.uslawshield.com/florida-gun-law/
