Business is good.

At least for some Washington insiders.

Despite the fact that Hillary, Bill, Barack and Michelle have all lost their licenses to practice law, they have managed to make a living.  Some might suggest a better than average living.

The Obamas are leaving the White House soon, but don’t worry about them.  They won’t be homeless.  They just acquired their fifth… yes fifth home (this home was a lease, not an outright purchase) .  They now own and/or lease homes in Washington, Chicago, New York, Hawaii and California.  The newest addition to their collection is the mansion in Washington.  This view of the kitchen gives you a perspective on the caliber of property it is.This latest home is valued between $4 and $5 Million dollars.  Their complete “home portfolio” is worth tens of millions of dollars.

It begs the question, where did all this money come from?  Obviously not their law practice.  Whatever the source, they obviously don’t have to worry about it.

To be fair, it isn’t just Democrats who have enriched themselves while pursuing a political career.  The financial statements of politicians from both parties show that many of them are very “wise investors” (sarcasm).

Despite whether you like Donald Trump or not, he doesn’t appear to be in politics for the money.  He isn’t even planning to take the Presidential salary.

What happened to the motto of our Founding Fathers, who pledged “Our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred honor”?
