Unless uncontrolled spending is really the goal.
A short interview with Senator Rand Paul gives a birds-eye view of the new $1.3 Trillion (yes, trillion) dollar spending bill. Passed by the House. Passed by the Senate. Signed by the President.

No money for the border wall.

Half a Billion (yes, billion) dollars for Planned Parenthood
Much more to come as people get the opportunity to actually READ the 2200 page bill.
If you like the bill, and the fact that it was voted on without adequate time for Legislators to READ it, then you are undoubtedly happy. If not, you may want to check and see how your Senators and Representatives voted.
In South Dakota, your vote to elect Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds resulted in resounding “YES” to this massive spending bill.

I am not in the “Happy” camp. There are so many reasons this is a bad spending bill. One of the WORST is the continued funding of Planned Parenthood.
As long as we continue to accept the flawed political assertion that compromise takes us in the right direction, we will allow or government to make the “best” BAD choice. I believe it is past time for Statesmen who will simply say…
… “If it isn’t RIGHT, my vote is no.
