The South Dakota Republican Party doesn’t want voters to have choices.

They have now filed suit to keep the Constitution Party off the ballot in the general election.  So much for freedom.

This legal maneuver probably won’t prevail, but it does show the colors of the leadership in the South Dakota Republican Party… Many of whom are Democrats now registered as Republican so they can “win” and hold positions of power.  It is noteworthy that Lederman himself… Chairman of the Republican Party… was until very recently, registered as a Democrat in his home state of Iowa.

Voters who are looking (praying) for a real choice must be wondering if there is anything the Republican leadership will NOT do to squash their competition.  The short answer would be “no”.  Intimidation, coercion, threats and legal maneuvers are all part of their playbook.  Nasty, mean and dirty.

The objective is clear.  Maintain control at any cost.  Decades of corruption, cronyism… and even multiple scandal laden deaths have been kept in the closet because of their choke-hold on power.  Fear of exposure is a very strong motivator for them.

At the end of the day, they are on a lose-lose mission.

Freedom isn’t really freedom if voters have no choice. For decades, South Dakota voters have only had the option of choosing between a Leftist Democrat or a Left-leaning Republican, nothing more than two shades of the same color.  The Constitution Party promises to afford a REAL choice on the ballot.  Monopolistic Republican Leadership simply can’t have that!!  Well, we will see about that!

Freedom will prevail.
