“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”
Winston Churchill is credited with this quote. Regardless of who said it, the accuracy of the statement is proving itself in the world of politics.
Irrespective of which side of the political isle you prefer, the process being used to assassinate the character of Judge Kavanaugh and others should bother you. The fact that eleventh hour “witnesses” are brought forth to destroy an individual does not lend credibility to the accusations.
Without recounting the numerous attacks by “witnesses” and “victims” over the last few years, it would be reasonable to conclude that many of them are well-rehearsed, self-serving, politically motivated liars. These liars are given significant attention and instantly believed. The TARGET of their lies is not so fortunate. Generally, the accusations are given the status of a guilty verdict, requiring the TARGET to provide “proof” that the allegations are not true.
Innocent until proven guilty simply does not apply.
These false accusers are liars. Plain and simple. It is unfortunate that they suffer few, if any consequences for the damage they do with their lies. In some cases, they are celebrated and receive personal benefit for their actions.
Jesus had a few words for these kind of people, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
There will ultimately be a day of judgment…
… and it won’t be before a Senate committee.
