Trump Supporter Tom Brady Will Lead Patriots in Super Bowl 2019

Just when conservatives were lamenting that Super Bowl LIII would be a match between two of America’s most radical liberal cities, Los Angeles and Boston, it has come to light that Patriot quarterback Tom Brady is a longtime Trump supporter who keeps a Make America Great Again hat in his locker room.  Brady and the President are friends who sometimes play golf together.

Both men have had the social courage to remain fiercely independent in a North East that is politically dominated by leftist urban centers that have turned their backs on their founding roots in Puritanism and traditional patriotism.  Like the rest of America, however, even this region can boast overwhelming conservative homelands in the majority rural areas.

Brady himself has been a lifelong Catholic.  Wikipedia reports that “A set of Brady’s great-great-grandparents on his father’s side, John and Bridget Brady, were Irish refugees from the Great Famine who moved to San Francisco from Boston prior to the American Civil War.”

Like Trump, Brady has a towering public stature.  From the University of Michigan, Brady went right to the Patriots in 2000, where Wikipedia summarizes that “In Brady’s seventeen seasons as a starter, he has quarterbacked the Patriots to nine Super Bowls, and is one of only two quarterbacks to win the Super Bowl in their first season as a starter. He is also one of two players to have won five Super Bowls, and the only player to have won them all with a single franchise.”

Thanks to his westward-moving migrant grandparents, Brady grew up in San Mateo, California, not far from Silicon Valley.  Now 41, Brady has begun to think about life after the NFL.   He is considering going into politics.  Don’t be surprised that he will one day announce in California and attempt to make that state great again, as it once was under the governorship of Ronald Reagan.
