Dusty’s Mistake

Dusty Johnson was sent to Washington DC to represent the people of South Dakota.  He’s the only representative we have, yes, the only one.

President Trump was overwhelming supported by the South Dakota voters and during this current legislative session the legislature also passed a Resolution that supports President Trump’s efforts to build a wall/barrier on the southern border.

South Dakotans see first hand the drug problems right here that can very well have its beginning south of the US border.

In an effort to claim “constitution purity” Dusty voted with the Democrats sending the message to the President that he didn’t want the Emergency Declaration to be used – telling even me that if a Democrat president wanted to use it for some other reason was his rationale.

President Trump just said that those Republicans who don’t support his efforts are not going unnoticed.   Did you hear that Dusty???

This single vote of Representative Johnson has shown he is not a “man of constitution purity” but a freshman with an error in judgment.

It was pointed out to me that,  “the bill was going to pass anyway with the Democrats’ votes, it didn’t matter.”  EXACTLY.  If that was the case, why use that vote as the stake you want to put through your heart?  Maybe Dusty wants to be a one term representative and DC is just not for him???

Dusty has lost some of the support he received because he was the only choice in the General Election.   Dusty can be certain that there will be a primary run in 2020 with a Trump supporting Republican that won’t play phony games that undermine President Trump’s efforts.  Just take a look at those who are supporting and cheering his vote for all you need to know.

Dusty’s latest vote shows to many that he is not with Trump when he needs the support to show solidarity for his policy that is ultimately to protect the United States border and our citizens.

Sorry Dusty, it’s not good enough to say you are 100% in support of the President then vote against him on a bill that everyone is taking note of.  Just as elections have consequences, so do votes.
