This Saturday, September 25, 2010 the Pennington County Search and Rescue Team will hold an open house at their headquarters at 140 East Main Street in Rapid City, SD from noon till 3PM.
Stop by their headquarters, have a bowl of chili and a piece of pie and meet these fine men and women who give of their skills, time and talents voluntarily to be there at our time of need. Bring the kids, inspect the vehicles and equipment they maintain, observe demonstrations and thank them for their service. Bring your checkbook or cash!!!
These 28 volunteers assist paid fire, police and emergency personnel 24/7/365. They are our fellow citizens who spend hours of study and training and practice to be ready whenever needed.
They live their lives next door to us and but they really are different. They listen and wait at the ready for that call for help or assistance for all of Pennington County.
They deserve our heartfelt thanks and our financial assistance. See you at the open house on Saturday.
