National Emergency: Conservative Artist Backs Trump on Getting Tough at the Border

Hijacking American institutions has been the Democratic Party’s key success story. Get in charge of hiring liberals, promote them, then fire conservatives—but never once reveal the strategy. Next thing you know, the Left is the new normal. “The way it’s always been” assumes the man in the street, who lives more or less in the present.

Everyone knows how television, Hollywood, and big league sports have been taken over. So has American education, from top to bottom. Examples are everywhere. Purging is a one-way street, with conservative traffic silently asked to exit.

Modern art then falls into the leftist column once control has been established by universities and publishers and foundations that have almost exclusive control over standards. Picasso’s art sells well. Abstraction and perversity are celebrated. Just ask any art professor.  Who cares that the common person still prefers buying nostalgic representational art in the form of inexpensive reproductions.

Jon McNaughton is an American artist who hasn’t depended on university support and art markets. His paintings introduce conservative political themes. The Salt Lake Tribune describes him as a “Right-wing Provo provocateur painter”. His painting “National Emergency” reveals a courageous President Trump standing alone in Washington DC against Democrats and establishment GOP who want to dissolve national borders in favor of globalist UN and EU agendas. “I’m sick of how they trample our flag and do not seek America’s interests first,” says McNaughton. These liberals are “traitors to this country, in most cases…more loyal to whichever country, lobbyist, corporation, or special interest group that will keep them in office and line their bank accounts.”

President Trump remains on the same page that McNaughton respects. FoxNews now confirms that “Trump confirms he nixed ICE director nomination, says he wants to go ‘in a tougher direction’”. Only toughness and boldness have any hope of overcoming decades of slackness in US-Mexican policy. Closing the border would be just what the American economy needs:  “Officials said last week the U.S. was on track to apprehend more than 100,000 border crossers in March — marking a 12-year high.”  Dangerous!

Trump undoubtedly knows that the armies of desperate migrants advancing daily on the US border would be better off rebuilding their own homelands at home. He’s hard at work to get rid of drug cartels and leftist governments in those countries that are enemies of prosperity and freedom.

Conservatives in Mexico and southward have already begun to respond to a determined leader. Trump has recently warned that shutting the border down is an option that would get results: “I may shut it down at some point, but I’d rather do tariffs. Mexico, I have to say has been very very good over the last four days…if they continue that everything will be fine, if they don’t we’re going to tariff cars at 25 percent coming into the United States.”

President Trump is not afraid of going after leftist politicians on either side of the border. He’s not fearful of using the Monroe Doctrine to take on the drug cartels militarily and covertly. He may start with “separate economic penalties over drugs” coming into US sanctuary cities. These are the urban centers that are “ordering” the cultural poison “coming in through the southern border and killing our people.”

What’s your best estimate of the number of illegal immigrants who are present in South Dakota on any given day? In your city or county?
