Dusty Johnson Disagrees With President Trump

Removing the debt ceiling is a bad idea.

That is the position of most conservatives.

Rep. Dusty Johnson agrees that it isn’t a good idea.  He said, “It does absolutely nothing to cut the ballooning deficit.”  Further, “This is a clear and present danger to the United States of America. $22 trillion is not easy to defend.”

Both South Dakota Senators are supportive of eliminating the debt ceiling until after the 2020 elections.

Conservatives think the President… and South Dakota’s Senators… are on the wrong side of this issue. Their assertion that “This is the best deal we could get”, provides little comfort for those of us concerned about the growing national debt.  On this subject, disagreeing with the President is a GOOD thing.

Thank you Dusty Johnson for getting this right!

If either Senator Thune or Rounds would like to respond and explain their support for removing the debt ceiling, the offer is open that we will publish their (unedited) response.
