Forgotten Faith

Making sin acceptable has become an American norm.

There was a day (I am old enough to remember it) when sin was shameful.  There has been a transformation.  Today, calling immoral behavior by it’s name is considered “hateful”.  We have become desensitized to the very real wickedness of sin.

A large portion of America considers God the Father, Jesus His Son and the Holy Ghost to be imaginary.  They liken the Trinity to a fairy tale.  Unless they experience a personal encounter with the most high God, through Jesus Christ His Son, they will continue in their deception until the fateful day when they are condemned to an eternity of torment in the very hell they proclaimed to be a fantasy.

For those of us who have become children of God through our personal relationship with Christ, there is a sadness that others are unwilling to yield their lives to this loving God.

The grasp of evil upon the hearts of so many has turned our country in a very wrong direction.  The mind-set of Sodom and Gomorrah has bound them in the shackles of sin… the wages of which is death.

On the brighter side, there is a remnant.  There are a people who are called by His name (still).  The truth of the Gospel is still being preached by some, for those with a heart willing to hear.

There is a point where God gives up the reprobate to the hardness of their own hearts.  I believe He has not yet given up on America.  My hope and prayer is that people will come to realize their sinful thought and deed, and call on the name of Jesus to be cleansed and saved. The hope of our nation and the people in it may depend on those people they have chosen to despise and ridicule.
