Suggestion for Iowans

What I write here is merely a suggestion for Iowans who will caucus today.

As a resident of South Dakota, I wouldn’t presume to tell Iowans what to do or who to vote for.

As a Christian conservative, I would merely suggest that you refuse to accept the the media’s message that:

  1. Conservatives must settle for a centrist (pronounced RINO) Republican.

  2. We must only choose a nominee we think can beat Obama.

  3. Our nominee must be capable of winning moderate voters.

I suggest that you vote for the candidate that best reflects your principles and values. Consider that the candidate you choose must be firmly rooted in his/her faith and possess the courage to stand for family values and the defense of our freedom.

Oh, don’t be coy. You are clearly telling Iowans not to vote for Mitt Romney. This post is pathetic in the original sense of the word, filled with pathos, as the audience can hear you desperately clinging to Gordon’s hope for a miracle even as you are unable to articulate clear reasons that voters should accept your assertions. You have to choose someone who can win in November, unless you are advocating picking a sacrificial lamb who will allow you to keep blogging for another four years about the war on religion by that darned President Obama.

What’s wrong with coy? It’s far better than wrong.

As for your “Gordon’s hope” remark, Gordon did not write that piece-I did. It’s my thoughts and hopes, not Gordon’s. Got it?

We do NOT have to choose another wishy-washy, squishy, big tent Republican who is more like a Democrat to win. If we do, you win. Wake up, Mr. Conventional Wisdom, this election IS different. Have you checked your liberal rags this AM? Santorum finished 2nd in Iowa by 8 votes, 8 votes!!! I am not suggesting that Santorum is the answer, or that he will win the GOP nomination. I’m suggesting that the “conventional wisdom” will not necessarily prevail in 2012.

Like the zen master said, “We’ll see.”
