Court Rules Gun Maker Not Responsible

Opponents of the 2nd Amendment lost another legal battle.

Using the tragedy of a school shooting in an end run around the 2nd Amendment this group of people sought to hold the manufacturer and the distributor responsible for the 2012 school shooting at Sandy Hook School.  Their legal assault alleged that the manufacturer and distributer had responsibility for the murders.

Too be sure, the murder of these 26 innocent people (including 20 children) was unspeakably wicked.  There is also no questioning the grief of all the affected families.  That said, it was not the gun, the manufacturer or the distributor that caused this horrific mass murder.  The court affirmed that truth this week, in dismissing the case.

This is another victory for the 2nd Amendment, but don’t think that means your gun rights are secure.  Politicians and courts can change all of that in an instant.  Your vote matters.  One wrong politician in office can swing the vote and restrict or eliminate your right to own a gun.  One politician in office can determine the makeup of the Supreme Court, or the appointment of other judges which could change gun ownership rights in a heartbeat.

Those who want to eliminate and/or restrict your 2nd Amendment rights do not rest.  They are relentless.  If you stop to rest, they gain ground.  When you don’t vote, they do.  Your non-participation DOUBLES the impact of their vote.

YOU have to defend your right to own a gun.
