Our Congresswoman-Elect Kristi Noem is travelling to Washington, DC today for a series of orientation meetings and briefings for the incoming freshman class of lawmakers.
Godspeed, Kristi!!!
A decision will likely be made this week as to presumptive Speaker Boehner’s plan on how to bring newly-elected fiscal conservatives into the fold. He reportedly plans to create “a new leadership post: Representative of the incoming freshman class.” Only newcomers will be able to vote to fill this spot, and if someone like high-profile Tea Party champion Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD) wins, “it could satisfy the Tea Party’s demands for some kind of representation within the leadership.”
It should be an interesting week for Kristi……and us.
