Revival Is Supernatural

A message of hope, inspiration and challenge.

America’s only hope for restoration is for men, women and children to turn their hearts toward God. This Sunday message is one that is good for every day of the week.

*** Pastor Ron Burtz***

Do you believe in the “supernatural?” I know what you’re thinking: “Do I believe in (Oooooh) ghosts, and vampires and that kind of thing.” No. I simply asked if you believe in the supernatural. Let me ask you this, “Do you believe in God?” If your answer is “yes” then you DO believe in the supernatural. You see, because God created this natural world in which we live, He must be above and beyond nature. He is SUPERnatural. Therefore, when does things that are not explainable in natural terms–we call those “miracles”–that is SUPERnatural. And one of the characteristics of real, heaven-sent revival is that things happen that are not explainable according to the laws of this natural world.

For instance, during the prayer revival of 1858 ships simply sailing into New York harbor came under the power of God’s presence. On one ship a captain and thirty men were converted to Christ before the ship docked. Four sailors knelt for prayer down in the depths of the battleship North Carolina anchored in the harbor. They began to sing and their ungodly shipmates came running down to make fun, but the power of God gripped them and they humbly knelt in repentance. Now THAT’s SUPERnatural!

Do you long to see God do in the church what only HE can do? As Pastor Jim Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York has asked, “Will we settle for the status quo or will we reach out for what God can supernaturally do though us?”
