2514 People Shot

Shootings in Chicago have nearly doubled over last year.

Image result for gun control doesn't work

So far this year, the total is 2514.  99 people have been shot in the last week.  1725 people had been shot at this time last year.

On Monday alone, at least nine people were killed.  So, do you think it’s time for more gun control?  You might be interested to know that Chicago already has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.  If gun control laws are supposed to reduce/eliminate gun violence, why isn’t it working in Chicago?

The answer is that gun control does NOT work.  Gun control just leaves citizens defenseless against criminals and a tyrannical government.  Gun control is not about controlling guns. Gun control is about control of people.

The media does not report much on Chicago gun violence.  It doesn’t fit the narrative.  It plays better to report gun violence that makes people feel “unsafe” and vulnerable.  Reports that encourage the “feeling” that if we only had more gun laws the senseless killing would stop.

Chicago proves that theory wrong, so don’t expect much reporting on gun violence there.

All those things are true – laws do not stop criminals. We already have laws against murder, yet people are murdered. There are many methods of murder — and you are exactly right – gun control is not about stopping killings, it’s about control and making it easier to suppress the people.
