It is painfully obvious what Democrats are doing.

At the moment, it is the attempt to derail the nominee to the Supreme Court with a last minute allegation of sexual impropriety 35 years ago.  They demanded that the accuser be heard.  The Senate arranged for an opportunity for the accuser to testify.  Sorry… not yet.. first we need an FBI investigation.  The FBI has already declined, and if there were to be an FBI investigation it would delay the confirmation process.  AHA!!  Therein lies the fundamental motivation of the Democrats.  Delay.  If only until after the midterm elections, in hopes by some unthinkable miracle they retake the Senate and can stop the nomination altogether.  Some are even suggesting that there should be a 2 year delay.  Others are calling on Kavanaugh to withdraw.

Except for the Leftists on the far left, the Democrats are losing credibility even among their own ranks.

It is one of the reasons Donald Trump is President in the first place.  It is also one of the reasons the Republicans will hold both the House and the Senate in the midterm elections.

Democrats can not win on the merits of their positions.  That leaves them with only one choice, in their minds.

Delay, destroy and obstruct.
