The Most Impressive Library

Presidential libraries are scattered around America.

They are memorials to men who have occupied the Oval Office.  No doubt, they are all spectacular.  I probably won’t ever visit one of them.  Not because I don’t respect the office, or the people who have held it.  It just isn’t on my bucket list.

My personal library is enough to keep me happy.

It is centered around one book.  I have several translations.  It is the Bible.  Contained within the covers is all the wisdom I will ever need…  More strength and encouragement than I could find anywhere… Love and peace that passes all understanding… Forgiveness for my sin and shortcomings… Hope for my future.

As I read this amazing book, I realize it is actually reading me.

Yes, I have a few other books.  I have even read some of them.  I have written a couple as well. My library contains my office,  some trophies and personal memorabilia.  People visit my library from time to time.  I pray that they leave with a measure of renewed faith and hope.

There will be a day when few, if any remember either me or my library.  That doesn’t trouble me.

I want them to remember my book.
