The Church is dangerous…

… in the mind of Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez.  In remarks this week, he warned followers that the Sunday morning Pulpit is motivating conservative voters.

 “…  we need to build a bigger orchestra. They’ve had a big orchestra for some time and they’ve got the megaphones to amplify it, whether it’s Sinclair at a local level or Fox at a national level. I’ve learned this from the outreach we’ve done at the DNC. . . .And I had someone in Northwestern Wisconsin tell me, ‘You know what, for most of the people I know, their principal sources of information are Fox News, their NRA newsletter, and the pulpit on Sunday.’”

Perez warned that the political preference of single issue, pro-life voters is due to their exposure to conservative ideas that come from the pulpit of their church.

“It should come as a surprise to no one that that person has elevated the issue of courts to the top because that person on the pulpit is saying, ‘Ignore everything else that this person has done and is doing, we have to focus on one issue of Roe vs. Wade.’ And people buy it. Because that’s their only source,”

If Perez is correct about the influence of the Church, that is good news for Conservatives.  There is no doubt that the Church has incredible power to influence, when… and if… Pastors speak to the moral issues of the day when they step behind their pulpits.  The question has been, whether they do (or will) engage in the conversation of morality, or just preach an “acceptable social gospel”.  When Pastors preach about righteousness and sin, and the consequences thereof, they have the power to change society.  That includes the world of politics.  Perez may have good reason to be fearful.  The platform and agenda of Leftist Democrats is anything but righteous.

What Perez does not understand, is the REASON pulpits can have such an impact on voters.  It is NOT because it is “their only source”…

… It’s because it’s the TRUTH!!
