Words change things.
Conversation about the power of a “positive confession” gets a lot of attention.
Often overlooked is the power of a NEGATIVE word. One negative word or thought spoken can pollute and destroy. “It’s a terrible market”, “prayer is a waste of time”, “You are a loser”… Words like this speak death into situations, circumstances and people.
Scripture tells us to “take every thought captive”. There is a reason. Our words are creative. We are made in the image of God, who SPOKE the world into existence. Our words… positive or negative… are instruments of power. For good or for evil.
Speak life.
