1. Republican Kristi Noem has edged back into the lead over incumbent Democrat Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin in South Dakota’s U.S. House race. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in South Dakota finds Noem with 47% support, while Herseth-Sandlin earns 44% of the vote. Six percent (6%) like another candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) are undecided.
2. It was heard today that Senator John Thune will join Kristi Noem on a bus tour of South Dakota during the final weeks of the campaign. The enormously popular Senator John Thune defeated the then Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle in 2004 and is currently running for re-election unopposed. He also recently revealed that he is considering a presidential bid in 2012.
This campaign tour will likely have a significant positive impact on the SD House race for Kristi Noem.
However, now is not the time to become over confident and complacent.
Thank you, Senator Thune for your support of Kristi Noem!!!
