While Ted Cruz took 69% in Utah, Trump still hasn’t broke 50% anywhere.

What is the reason for the Cruz success in Utah?

It is most likely due to the largely conservative, moral voting block in the state.  Cruz is the strong favorite among morally conscious conservative voters, regardless of what political pundits and media outlets are reporting.  Utah is one of the most morally conscious and conservative states.  Trump vulgarity and slanderous style of campaigning doesn’t play well with this kind of voter.

Both Trump and Cruz are still in a position where they could win the 1,237 delegates needed, but each contest is becoming more and more important.  Something significant would have to change for either of them to reach the mark prior to the convention.

This important victory for the Cruz campaign comes in spite of the media “Trump-a-thon”.  It might just be that the moral majority is waking up.  Time will tell.

In the meantime, every delegate counts!
